There are several exquisite Tiffany and Co., Cartier, Stittgen and Yurman jewelry pieces as well as some lovely Georg Jensen brooches and earrings on offer. I have been browsing their online catalogue for the past few days, looking for beautiful and unique pearl jewelry pieces and I have not been disappointed.
A lovely bombé pineapple decorated with cultured pearls and round diamonds, mounted in 14k white gold. This is brooch which can also be worn as a pendant. The cultured light cream coloured pearls have good lustre and mixed overtones and the contrast between the shapes and textures of the pearls and diamonds is superb. What I love about this piece is the gorgeous design and craftsmanship. This is truly a statement piece!
A pair of exquisite Karl Stittgen gold rings, one with maker’s mark for Karl Stittgen. The design of these rings is organic highlighting the beauty of the cluster of baroque cultured pearls. Lapis lazuli beads add a pop of colour and both rings have been mounted in 18k gold. I love the colour combination of these rings and the fact that they are Stittgen, make them all the more beautiful!
A lovely Mikimoto Pearl Brooch with maker’s mark for Mikimoto and with its original box. The floral bouquet, crafted from 14k gold is decorated with ten cultured pearls. I love the delicate and intricate design, the fine swirls and elongated stems making this brooch so very charming. This is a not to be missed piece!
Another beautiful piece with maker’s mark for Mikimoto. This single strand of cream coloured cultured have a bright lustre and beautiful pink and green overtones and have been knotted to a pearl-accented silver clasp, The round shaped graduated pearls match so well in colour and graduation. This is a really lovely strand of cultured pearls and if you, like me, love Mikimoto, then this is really a piece for you!
A fabulous Toi et Moi motif ring with gorgeous white and dark grey cultured South Sea pearls. This is a statement ring! Mounted in 18k white gold with two lustrous south sea pearls, accented by diamonds, this fabulous ring says ‘look at me!’ I love the contrasting colours of the dark grey and white cultured South Sea pearls and how the white, pink and brown diamonds add depth and dimension.
A stunning antique pearl and coral set in 18k gold. The beautiful concave pendant/brooch centers on a swinging coral drop which is surrounded by round corals and accented by small pearls. The fleur-de-lis motif on the pendant /brooch lends so much charm and beauty and the matching ear pendants complete this set to perfection. I really love the rich and vibrant colour of the coral in this set, how it contrasts with the white of the pearls and the gold of the mounting, but what I adore is the design and the exquisite craftsmanship of this piece!
A lovely antique necklace with a superbly crafted starburst pendant, decorated throughout with seed pearls, and centering an old-cut diamond. The pendant is detachable and can be worn as a brooch. The lovely design of the necklace with its intricate scrolls, make it so very enchanting.
There are many more fabulous pearl jewelry pieces on offer, choosing among them was difficult. I naturally gravitate towards strands and necklaces and there are some spectacular strands in this auction. A beautiful necklace of multicoloured cultured pearls (Lot402 )caught my eye, as did a necklace of dark, lustrous South Sea pearls (Lot228).
